Much has been achieved since the founding of Bahay Aurora in 1992.
There are of course many plans and hopes still to be realised in the future:
→ Increase the capacity of the facility to allow it to cater for up to 45 children
→ Increase the number of employees to allow for a better allocation of the work
→ Renovation and maintenance of the living units and the schoolhouse
→ The laying of a good water mains system. The present system is unreliable and water pressure is extremely low
→ A water source with sufficient capacity to begin a fish farm on the premises
→ To introduce the possibility of a bed and breakfast facility
→ To introduce a new website along with an English version
→ Technical installations to be made at the basketball court to allow this facility to also be used in other activities such as dance workshops
→ To build on the cooperation with similar project centres
→ To strengthen and increase contacts with the corporate world to increase and facilitate employment chances for the children when they leave the centre
→ To establish a system for fund raising within the Philippines
