In order to provide proper shelter for the street children, sufficient living space, nutritious food, good physical as well as mental care and guidance need to be readily available. Thankfully this is in plentiful supply at Bahay Aurora.

Housing

At present Bahay Aurora can offer shelter to a total of 45 children if necessary. The children are divided among the three living units. Each unit comprises of a number of bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room. One unit is used for the very young children, one for the boys and the third for the girls. Each child has his/her own bed and cupboard for their personal belongings. The kitchen is located in one of the units and catering for all of the residents is done here. The area between the units is covered and serves as communal areas. It is here that the children eat, play and do their homework.
